Move joyfully, live intuitively!
Hi! I’m Rachel!
Finding a loving home in my body has been a deeply fulfilling journey for me and movement has always been my compass and my joy.
I grew up doing martial arts and meditation where I learned ease and efficiency of movement along with mind-body connection. This helped me regulate my emotions and navigate a world that often felt confusing and overwhelming. Gymnastics and dance helped me express myself, challenge myself, and unlock strength I didn’t know I had.
My sister has muscular dystrophy and will never move the way that I can. So I know intimately how movement impacts our quality of life and I never take that for granted.
I’ve had my own setbacks and I understand that movement can feel complicated and carry a lot of baggage. While I was in college, I had a seizure that rocked my relationship with my body. I felt afraid of the movement that I previously found comfort in. And the trust I had in my body took a hit. My ADHD often challenges my ability to maintain consistency with my mindfulness and movement practices. I continue to deconstruct from the harmful narratives of diet culture. And my connective tissue disorder shapes the way I feel in my body and guides my movement practice today.
Still, I find so much joy in challenging myself and my body to do new things and exploring ways to do the things I love.
I also became fascinated with the science of bodies and movement while getting my Exercise Science degree. It’s so fun to teach my clients about their bodies and I truly believe we can all benefit from understanding some anatomy!
And I love to keep learning and sharing what I discover with my clients whether it’s reiki, sound baths, the power of community, or just the names of muscles that you’ll never remember.
Whether you’re:
